Pipeline Compliance Specialist

P.I. Confluence (PIC) provides a complete governance management system to pipeline operators to manage programs, processes, workflow, communications, and information exchange. Our software tools enable operators to achieve regulatory compliance and to implement process management and stakeholder communication.


In this key contributor role, you will provide compliance consulting and customer support to operators of regulated pipelines in the oil and gas industry. Flexibility and creative problem solving to respond and adapt to challenges is a must.


  • Use company software products to develop, implement, manage, and continuously improve client-specific regulatory programs, including integrity management, damage prevention, public awareness, and control room management.
  • Provide product support and software training to customers.
  • Perform compliance assessments and develop reports as required.
  • Assist with audit preparation.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and future pipeline regulations.
  • Plan resourcing, scopes, and timelines.
  • Support the creation of budgetary estimates and project quotations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, political science, computer science, or engineering
  • Working knowledge of 49 CFR 192 and 195 regulatory requirements for pipeline operators
  • Ability to develop executable process documentation from customer documents
  • Ability to quickly learn company software applications and tools
  • Highly analytical with the ability to see gaps and develop solutions
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees at various levels in the organization
  • Ability to juggle day-to-day transactional work with projects, set priorities, and ensure completion of tasks
  • Works well on a team and is motivated by and excels in a challenging and fast-moving entrepreneurial environment 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with a pipeline operator, consulting firm, or service provider supporting integrity management, regulatory compliance, and/or pipeline engineering to the oil and gas industry
  • Tableau 
  • Basic level of MS SQL server database query and management
Working Environment
  • This is a home-based position.
  • Travel for client and company meetings is required.

  • Background Check: Must successfully complete criminal history check, education verification, employment verification, and driver’s license verification.
  • Drug and Alcohol Testing: Must successfully complete pre-employment testing that conforms to DOT specifications.
